President and CEO, North Mississippi Health Services

Michael “Shane” Spees is the president and chief executive officer of North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS). A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, Shane joined NMHS as president and CEO in December 2013. Before joining NMHS, he served as president and CEO for Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, from 2007-2013. He previously worked in Texas, where he was president from 2004-2007 of Valley Baptist Hospital Holdings Inc., which serves the Rio Grande Valley, and senior vice president and CEO of Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, all of which are part of Valley Baptist Health System. Spees held several leadership roles within the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, which serves the greater Houston area and much of Southeast Texas, from 1995-2004.

He received his master's degree in health care administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake in 1997, where he was recognized for academic and leadership excellence. Spees graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of public administration degree in 1992 and the University of Mississippi School of Law with his juris doctor in 1995. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1995.

President, North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo and Chief Operating Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

David Wilson is chief operating officer of North Mississippi Health Services and president of North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. His responsibilities include operational responsibility for all NMHS hospitals and existing joint ventures.

Wilson received his master’s degree in health administration, graduating with honors from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He holds bachelor’s degrees in zoology and biology, both with honors, from the University of Tennessee.

Before joining NMHS, Wilson served as president of Shelby Baptist Medical Center and southern market leader for Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama. Wilson has led hospitals ranging in size from small to large in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama.

He serves on the United Way of Northeast Mississippi Board of Directors and is a past campaign chair, CREATE Tupelo/Lee County Board of Directors, Mississippi Trauma Care System Foundation Board and Mississippi Hospital Association Medicaid Committee. He is a member of the Tupelo Kiwanis Club.

President, North Mississippi Medical Clinics and Chief Network Development Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

David Barber serves as chief network development officer of North Mississippi Health Services and president of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, a regional network of more than 60 clinics affiliated with NMHS.

Barber joined NMHS in 1994 and has served in several leadership positions with the clinic system, including regional manager and chief operating officer.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Medical Practice Executive by the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Chief Medical Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Jeremy Blanchard, MD, MMM, CPE, is the chief medical officer (CMO) of North Mississippi Health Services. Dr. Blanchard has a wide breadth of experience working as a CMO in two rural health care systems at a regional and institutional level, in Washington and Montana. Most recently he was the Head of Player and Family Wellness for The Alliance of American Football, a startup professional football league, based in San Francisco. His experience also includes Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Innovation for Language of Caring, a cultural transformation group serving health care systems and individual physician practices. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps for 11 years.

Clinically, Dr. Blanchard’s background is as an intensivist in both the U.S. Army and in rural Washington. He was the inaugural medical director of the combined intensivist and adult hospitalist program at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington. He led his team to being recognized in APACHE Outcomes as the No. 1 Intensive Care Unit in the nation, compared to 137 other like, mixed surgical/medical adult ICUs of 20 beds or smaller.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Montana in Missoula in 1986, and his medical studies at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1991. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington, and his fellowship in critical care medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He has a master’s degree in medical management (MMM) from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, where he graduated with honors. In addition, Dr. Blanchard is a certified physician executive (CPE) and a certified patient experience professional (CPXP).

Chief Human Resources Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Sondra Davis serves as the chief human resources officer for North Mississippi Health Services. She is responsible for managing recruitment, retention, education, employee health, compensation and benefits for the organization’s employees.

Davis previously worked at Centura Health System in Denver, Colorado, where she served as regional vice president for human resources for the Denver and Mountain markets, comprised of nine hospitals and numerous freestanding emergent/urgent Care centers, outpatient centers and provider practices. She previously served as vice president for human resources with Harnett Health System, based in Dunn, North Carolina, where she also provided leadership for several operational and support services in addition to her human resources scope.

She has more than 20 years of experience in varied settings, with most of that experience in rural healthcare markets.

A native of Colorado, she spent more than 15 years living and working in North Carolina and Georgia. Davis holds a bachelor of science in business from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and a master of science in human resources management from Troy University in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute and has a history of strong involvement in her professional organizations and communities.

Chief Information Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Chris Davis, MD, joined North Mississippi Health Services as chief information officer (CIO) in 2020. He brings expertise in improving patient care, quality and safety by implementing and optimizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, promoting technology adoption and partnering with health care providers on leveraging IT capabilities.

He previously worked at Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as CIO and chief medical informatics officer for six years. His employment history includes serving as CMIO for Baptist Health System in Birmingham and Inpatient CMIO for Mercy Health System in St. Louis.

Davis received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, a master’s degree in medical informatics from Northwestern University in Chicago, and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock. After completing flight surgeon training at the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, he served as a flight surgeon and chief of aerospace medicine with the Arkansas Air National Guard in Little Rock and Ft. Smith. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Preventative Medicine in Clinical Informatics.

Chief Financial Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Sharon Nobles serves as chief financial officer for North Mississippi Health Services.

Before joining NMHS in 2017, Nobles worked with Baptist Health Care Corporation in Pensacola, Fla. She served as vice president and chief financial officer for Acute Care Services and led all aspects of financial operations for three acute care hospitals and two joint venture ambulatory surgery centers. During her 23-year tenure with Baptist, she served in various financial leadership roles, including system CFO for two years.

A graduate of the University of West Florida, she is a certified public accountant, designated as a certified treasury professional with the Association for Financial Professionals and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Chief Legal Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Bruce Toppin serves as chief legal officer for North Mississippi Health Services.

Toppin, who joined NMHS in 1996, previously worked as a partner with Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrier’re and Dene’gre in New Orleans. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany and a juris doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. He received a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Administrator and Vice President, Cardiovascular and Surgical Services, North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo

T.J. Adams, RN, BSN, MSHA, is administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo and vice president of Cardiovascular and Surgical Services at North Mississippi Medical Center. In addition to serving at NMMC-Tupelo’s administrator, his responsibilities include oversight of surgical services at NMHS hospitals in Amory, Tupelo and West Point, Mississippi and Hamilton, Alabama, central sterile processing and cardiovascular services.

A native of Mantachie, Adams graduated from Mantachie High School in 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2004 from Mississippi University for Women and his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011. He joined the NMMC staff in May 2004 as an operating room nurse and later served as a charge nurse and a nurse manager for Cardiothoracic Surgery. Adams was director of Supply Chain Support from 2010-2014 and was promoted to vice president of Cardiovascular and Surgical Services in 2014.

Adams currently serves as the vice president of the Mississippi Board of Nursing. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mississippi Nurses Association, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Mississippi Hospital Association and the Community Development Foundation. He also serves as a board member for both the Health Care Foundation’s Take a Swing at Cancer and Tombigbee Electric Power Association.

Administrator, North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point and North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka

Barry Keel is the administrator at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point and North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka.

Keel, an Alabama native, most recently worked at Bay Medical Center–Sacred Heart Health System, a 323-bed hospital in Panama City, Florida, where he served as chief executive officer. He previously worked as the Alabama Market CEO for Health Management Associates. In addition, he has served as CEO with several Alabama and Tennessee hospitals.

Keel received his bachelor’s degree in health administration from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and a master’s degree in health policy and administration from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia.

His recent community involvement includes serving as a member of the West Point Clay County Community Growth Alliance Board of Directors and the Boy Scouts of America Board of Directors. He is a member of the West Point Rotary Club and a former president of the Alabama Hospital Association Central Regional Council.

Administrator, North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory and North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc

Jamie Rodgers is administrator at North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory and North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc.

Rodgers came to North Mississippi Health Services from Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, where he served as chief executive officer and administrator for six years. In addition to Choctaw Regional, he served in that capacity with Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton in Covington, Tennessee, and Covington County Hospital in Collins. He started his health care career with Mississippi Baptist Health System in Jackson.

A native Mississippian, Rodgers was born in Brandon. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master of health services administration from Mississippi College in Clinton, and a master of healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is a board-certified fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Administrator, North Mississippi Health Services-South Marion

Administrator, North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora and North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton

Robin Mixon, FACHCA, FACHE, is administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora and North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton. She is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mixon, who joined the hospital’s staff in 2004, became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2013 and was promoted to associate hospital administrator and nursing home administrator in 2014. She assumed the role of NMMC-Eupora administrator in 2018 and added leadership responsibility for the Hamilton hospital in 2023.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Mississippi University for Women and a master’s degree in health administration from Trident University International. She is a licensed preceptor under the Mississippi Board of Nursing Home Administrators as well as a certified health safety professional and a certified rural health professional.

Mixon was named among Mississippi Business Journal Distinguished Leading Business Women in 2022 and was a Business Women of the Year finalist in 2023. Mixon is an active member of the Mississippi Rural Health Association, Rural Health Alliance, Mississippi Public Health Association, Eupora Rotary Club, Eupora 20th Century Club and Vibrant Church in Columbus.

President, Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi and Vice President, North Mississippi Health Services

Steven Blaylock joined NMHS in 2007 as a Development Officer and was promoted to Executive Director of Philanthropy in 2017.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Mississippi. He completed his post-graduate studies in management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Blaylock is a graduate of the Jim Ingram Leadership Institute through the Community Development Foundation and serves on the Community Leadership Institute Selection Committee.

He completed Leadership Mississippi, a program of the Mississippi Economic Council, in 2016. He serves on several community and state boards of directors, including vice president of the Mississippi Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is a member of Kiwanis International and teaches Sunday School at Brewer United Methodist Church.

He and his wife, Stacy Buse Blaylock, have three children.

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton

Jennifer Brewer, BSN, RN, joined NMMC-Hamilton in 2003 after earning her associate degree in nursing from Northwest Shoals Community College in Phil Campbell, Alabama.

During her tenure, she took on a number of leadership roles before she was named NMMC-Hamilton CNO in 2013. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence shortly after stepping into the CNO role.

Chief Strategy, Health Equity & Inclusion Officer for North Mississippi Health Services

Ormella Cummings, PhD, facilitates the strategic planning process by working with senior leaders, departments and various entities to develop and deploy strategic initiatives.

Her responsibilities include examining qualitative and quantitative data to identify strategically relevant trends that promote long-term organizational performance and sustainability. She also leads the system’s efforts on health equity and inclusion and works in partnership with various community organizations to “close the gaps” created by health disparities.

Cummings joined NMHS in 2004. She has a PhD in educational and counseling psychology from the University of Mississippi. Her certifications include designations as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a Certified Professional Coach through the International Coach Federation and Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.

Vice President of Facility Management and Construction, North Mississippi Health Services

Todd Davis joined Facility Operations at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo in 1993. He served as director of Facility Operations from 2006-2015.

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He is a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager with the American Hospital Association and a Registered Professional Engineer.

System Vice President of Payor Strategy and Partnerships, North Mississippi Health Services

Wally Davis joined NMHS’ Center for Business Health in 1996 and was promoted to vice president in 2007. Davis serves as the primary payor relationship executive for NMHS, leads the Managed Care contracting and analytics team for the system, and serves as a corporate officer for Health Link, a regional preferred provider organization. Additional responsibilities include oversight for the payor credentialing verification and provider enrollment business units for NMHS. Davis serves on multiple system committees adding support for key system initiatives, such as Connected Care Partners, a regional Clinically Integrated Network.

He received a bachelor of business administration degree from Mississippi State University and a master of health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Davis is a member of the Tupelo Kiwanis Club and a graduate of the Community Development Foundation's Community Leadership Institute.

Vice President of Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Services, North Mississippi Health Services

Angie Everett, LCSW, is responsible for the post-acute continuum of care, rehabilitation/therapy services and case management at all NMHS locations.

Everett earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Mississippi State University in 1990 and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2001.

She is a licensed certified social worker, a certified case manager, a CARF surveyor, and a licensed nursing home administrator. Everett is also an alumnus of the Carol Emmott Fellowship.

Vice President of Women and Children’s Services, North Mississippi Medical Center

Ellen Friloux has been employed by NMMC since 1988 and has worked in a number of management level positions, including serving as director of NMMC’s Cancer Center, Ambulatory Services and, most recently, Women’s Hospital.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in health administration from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in health service administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Vice President of Finance, North Mississippi Health Services and Chief Financial Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center

Lynn Holland joined NMMC in 1996 as director of accounting and is now responsible for general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting and reimbursement.

He received his bachelor and master’s degrees in accountancy from the University of Mississippi. He received a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Holland is a certified public accountant. He is also a certified healthcare financial professional and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Chief Medical Informatics Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Ben Kilman, MD, practiced family medicine at Fulton Medical Clinic before becoming CMIO.

Dr. Kilman graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology of medical sciences from Mississippi College in Clinton. He received his medical training from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He  completed his family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center.

He received several honors and scholarships during his undergraduate and medical school tenure. In addition to serving as a research assistant, he volunteered with Tar Wars, educating elementary students on the consequences of tobacco usage.

Vice President of Pharmacy, Oncology and Medical Imaging, North Mississippi Health Services

Daniel Lenard is responsible for the NMMC Cancer Care locations in Tupelo and Starkville, as well as ambulatory pharmacy services at all NMHS locations.

He previously served as the regional director of Oncology Services at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi, and he has served as an oncology leader in Colorado, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

Lenard earned a master’s degree in business administration-project management from Louisiana State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in radiation oncology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, he is a Certified Lean Practitioner and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

In 2024, Lenard will serve as board chairman for Mississippi’s chapter of the American Cancer Society, and he represents Mississippi as a delegate on the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators, the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

Chief Nurse Executive, North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo

Kristen Long, DNP, RN, began her nursing career at North Mississippi Medical Center in 2006 after earning her associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College. In 2010, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence.

Long completed her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi in 2015 and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University in 2022.

She is actively involved with Mississippi Nurses Association, where she serves as secretary and as a member of the House of Delegates.

She and her husband, Nat, live in Fulton with their two children—Mason and Bella. They enjoy being outdoors, especially camping with extended family and friends.

Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Kim Marlatt has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic marketing and communications executive. She previously served as vice president of marketing and sales for InnovaCare Partners in Orlando. Prior to that, she spent nine years with BayCare, the largest health care system in the Tampa Bay area, first as regional marketing director and then as system marketing director.

From 2003-2011, Marlatt directed marketing and planning for Georgia Health Science University (now Augusta University) and MCG Health System.

Marlatt holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in Athens.

Chief Financial Officer, North Mississippi Health Services Community Hospitals

Kelvin Monroe, CPA, serves as CFO for NMHS' six community hospitals in Amory, Iuka, Eupora, Pontotoc and West Point, Mississippi, and Hamilton, Alabama. He also serves as the assistant administrator for North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory.

Prior to joining NMHS, he served as chief financial officer for Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. The hospital joined NMHS in 2019, becoming NMMC Gilmore-Amory.

Monroe received his bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting from Mississippi State University in 2005. He completed his master’s degree in business administration at MSU in 2006. In 2008, he received his CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license.

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point

Vice President of Supply Chain, North Mississippi Health Services

Parker holds a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Memphis.

He practiced physical therapy for 11 years before transitioning to the Corporate Supply Chain Team at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, where he held several roles, including interim VP of Supply Chain. 

Parker joined North Mississippi Health Services in 2024. He and his wife, Tara, have two children, Della and Grey. He enjoys following his children’s athletic pursuits, traveling and trying new cuisines. 

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka

Kathy Patrick, BSN, RN, earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence in 1992.

Her nursing career began in oncology and dialysis and then transitioned into home health and hospice. She joined North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo in 2000 as a registered nurse in the resource pool. She worked in nearly all the hospital’s nursing units before moving into clinical education.

She was named chief nursing officer for the Iuka hospital in 2008.

Associate Medical Officer of Acute Care

David Pizzimenti, DO, FACOI, leads the hospitalist program and is program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program for North Mississippi Health Services. Before joining NMHS, he was the founding director of the internal medicine residency and hospitalist programs at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi.

Dr. Pizzimenti has multiple academic and committee appointments, including the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Resident Review Committee for Internal Medicine. He is also on ACGME’s subcommittee that creates the training standards for internists and internal medicine sub-specialists nationally.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville and his medical studies at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, followed by his internal medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. A board- certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Pizzimenti was inducted to the American College of Osteopathic Internist College of Fellows in 2009. In addition, he is a certified wound care specialist.

Dr. Pizzimenti and his wife, Dr. Marissa Cruz, have practiced internal medicine in north Mississippi since 2005.

 Vice President of Revenue Cycle, North Mississippi Health Services.

Carol Plato has more than 25 years of experience, working in hospitals in Colorado, Massachusetts and Florida.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in health care financial management from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., and her master’s of business administration from Nova Southeastern University in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Plato is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional from Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is a current fellow of HFMA. She is also a Certified Revenue Cycle Executive by the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.

Chief Quality Officer, North Mississippi Health Services. 

Melody Poole is responsible for accreditation, infection prevention, performance improvement, quality management, patient safety initiatives, patient and family engagement and medical staff support services.

Poole received her associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville and her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women. She completed her master’s degree in nursing administration at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

She is a Certified Joint Commission Professional, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and is a member of MHA Society for Healthcare Quality and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She also serves on the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence Panel of Judges. 

Vice President of Behavioral Health Services, North Mississippi Medical Center

Robert Smith came to NMMC from Lifecore Health Group, where he served as chief executive officer. As administrator, he provides leadership and oversight of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services and is leading efforts to grow and expand services for individuals who suffer from emotional or chemical dependency disorders.

He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, He is a licensed clinical social worker in Mississippi and Arkansas.

Chief Information Security Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Chief Compliance Officer, North Mississippi Health Services

Jim Stanzell joined NMHS in 2003. He previously worked at St. Bernards Healthcare in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and at the Greensfelder Law Firm in St. Louis.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, a juris doctor degree from St. Louis University School of Law and an LLM in taxation from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.

He currently holds a graduate certificate in Health Care Corporate Compliance from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., as well as Certification in Healthcare Compliance and Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCC).

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore-Amory

Ronda Sweet, DNP, RN, CENP, earned her doctorate in nursing practice in 2016 from Walden University in Minneapolis. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix and Tempe, respectively. She became a licensed practical nurse in 1995 and a registered nurse in 2004.

Sweet is certified in Executive Nursing Practice and as a TeamSTEPPS Trainer and Six Sigma Yellow Belt. She is a member of the Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP).

Vice President for Business Development, North Mississippi Health Services.

Beth Ungo, RN, MSN, JD, a native of Iuka, has a long history of service with North Mississippi Health Services as a registered nurse, analyst and leader. She served as the service line administrator for oncology and radiology services from 2014 to 2019. She has also been a practicing attorney and medical practice administrator. Before returning to NMHS in 2022, Ungo worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi, developing and executing the strategic business plan for an innovative primary care and wellness center.

Ungo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama. She earned a master’s in nursing administration from University of Alabama in Huntsville. She holds a law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Medical Group Management Association.

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

Susan Vaughan, MSN, RN, came to Eupora from Ochsner Rush Health System in Meridian, where she had served as director of hospital operations for medical, surgical, cardiac telemetry, orthopedic, short stay and wound care departments. She previously worked as chief operating officer for Haxtun Health District and chief nursing officer for Kit Carson County Health Service, both in Colorado, and as medical-surgical director and hospital educator for Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, Tennessee. Before departing Mississippi in 2015, she served in several nursing leadership roles with Central Mississippi Medical Center and St. Dominic Hospital, both in Jackson.

Vaughan completed her associate degree in nursing at Hinds Community College in 1992. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Walden University in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

Vice President of Human Resources, North Mississippi Health Services 

Kim Warner has more than 20 years of experience in health care. Before joining NMHS, Warner served as director of Human Resources, Business Partners and Enterprise Learning at University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington. This role was the senior HR leader for UK HealthCare. Born and raised in Canada, she began her healthcare career as Director of Tobacco Initiatives with the Manitoba Lung Association. She later served as director of Organization and Staff Development then as Director of Operations, Quality and Patient Safety at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in Manitoba, Canada, as an educator.

She received bachelor of science degrees from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan in social work and the University of Winnipeg in sociology, and a master’s of science in social work from the University of Regina.

Her professional designations include Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management and Lean Green Belt in Six Sigma.

 Chief Operating Officer, North Mississippi Medical Clinics.

Molly Weldon works with regional directors, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, clinic staff and other NMHS leaders to support daily operational excellence and continue pursuit of the clinic system’s mission and vision.

Weldon, who has more than 25 years of progressive practice management experience, joined North Mississippi Health Services in 2018. Before joining NMHS, Molly served as vice president of Clinic Operations for Mercy Health in St. Louis, Missouri, where she held several leadership roles since 1997. In addition to her work at Mercy, she has served in leadership roles for a number of highly regarded organizations.

A graduate of St. Louis University, she is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association.

Chief Nursing Officer, North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc.

Hunter B. Williamson, RN, MHA, has professional experience encompassing critical care, cardiac catheterization laboratory, medical-surgical units, patient services and clinical rounding in Cardiovascular Services.

Williamson joined NMMC-Pontotoc as CNO in 2019 after serving as the health services administrator with Centurion of Mississippi.

He obtained an associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago. In 2018, Williamson completed a master’s degree in health administration from Ohio University in Athens.

Williamson is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Mississippi Nurses’ Association.
